Waterproof Work Boots and Shoes
Trail builders, delivery drivers, electric meter workers, and others who work outdoors rely on KEEN Utility waterproof work boots to keep them dry and protected in the field.
Waterproof work boots save your feet from uncomfortable wetness that distracts you on the job. They’re also the way to go for unmatched durability. Not to mention, wet feet can lead to hot spots, skin conditions, and generally unhealthy feet.
Why KEEN.DRY?
KEEN Utility boots aren’t just waterproof. Keeping water out of your boots is only half the battle. Our waterproof boots are equipped with a KEEN.DRY waterproof, breathable membrane that locks water out, but still allows moisture vapor to escape. That means your feet will be dry-dry, not dry-but-sweaty.
The difference is in the fit
Each pair of waterproof work boots is specifically designed for the work environment, with a spacious toe box for natural toe flexion, plus a snug heel cup that keeps your heel secure as you move.
Which pair of KEEN Utility waterproof boots is right for you?
To find the ideal boot for your needs, choose the statement that fits you best:
“COMFORTABLE WORK AND HIKING BOOTS.”
Designed for toughness, and now even lighter. The Oshawa II combines outdoor style with advanced features, including a flexible, non-metallic puncture-resistant plate and our new carbon-fiber safety toe that’s 15% lighter than steel.
“Comfortable right out of the box. Looks good, not too flashy, subtle style. Durable enough for work load, lighter than steel, can wear all day. Roomy especially around the toe. Will buy again..." - Dd64
Another great option is the men’s and women’s Chicago work boots. This carbon-fiber toed work boot will be the favorite tool to help get the job done right. With KEEN.ReGEN cushioning midsole, and KEEN.DRY waterproof, breathable membrane, this boot is job site ready 365 24/7.
“I need a waterproof safety boot with a non-metallic toe.”
We have several options for you, all with non-metallic carbon-fiber safety toes.
The men’s and women’s Cincinnati waterproof carbon-fiber toe boot is a heavy-duty wedge boot with a surprisingly lightweight feel. The EH-rated rubber outsole provides slip-resistance on ladders and slick floors. An air-infused midsole offers a supportive feel that’s wearable for hours (our fans tell us they rely on them in warehouses and fabrication shops). The Cincinnati boot comes in both 6” and 8” heights.
“I had to work in about 2" of water 2 weeks ago, and my feet stayed dry. ... This is my second pair of KEEN Utility work boots, and I'm sold on the brand.” - Jeff
“Great boot. I do HVAC and climb up and down ladders all day. I live in Minnesota, so the boots are exposed to snow and cold. Feet stay dry and warm. I would recommend these boots.” - Chris
“I work in the pulp and paper industry. These are the most comfortable boots I have owned in some years. I got the wide size, and the toe box is very spacious.” - Mike
And if your work puts you in contact with harsh chemicals, we suggest the heavy-duty men’s Philadelphia series. The men’s Philadelphia waterproof carbon-fiber toe boot features a waterproof leather upper with a barnyard-resistant finish. It resists damage from commonly used chemicals like sodium chloride or ammonium hydroxide. The air-infused KEEN Luftcell midsole means you can easily wear it for 10+ hour days. And a heel stabilizer system gives you torsion stability, helping to prevent your foot from twisting on uneven terrain.
Choose the 6” height for greater range of motion, or the 8” height for superior support and protection. There’s also an insulated version of the 8” boot for working in frigid temperatures.
“Solid boots, they say waterproof, and I'd agree. Working outside all the time in the snow and rain, these are solid boots. I work for a utility company, and these haven't failed me once during an ice storm or any other. Very solid grip on slick terrain like ice and snow.” - Jordan
“I don’t need a safety toe; just a durable, versatile pair of waterproof boots.”
Park rangers, general contractors, and other hard workers can use a waterproof soft-toe work boot that stands up to everyday use and abuse. Here are our picks:
The Detroit 8” soft toe is a high collared work horse work boot. Made from waterproof nubuck leather with a KEEN.Dry waterproof breathable membrane, this construction boot will keep you dry out in the field or at a rain drenched work site.
“I’m in construction and some other things. These have held up well with what I put them through, from paving and being on 300° asphalt to standing in one spot flagging all day. A year and a half later they are still going strong. ... They are truly waterproof as well.” - Jack B.
The men’s Cincinnati 6” waterproof soft toe boot and women’s Cincinnati 8” waterproof soft toe boot keep the feel lightweight and wearable for long work days. They’re electrical hazard (EH) rated, and the waterproof leather upper is also barnyard resistant to resist damage from common chemicals (oleic acid, urea, sodium chloride, and ammonium hydroxide). The KEEN Luftcell air-infused midsole provides all-day cushioning with less weight.
“These boots are absolutely RIGHTEOUS!!!! I wear them at work - I do landscaping and remodeling. Them being waterproof helps tremendously!!” - Tyler B.
