Safety Talk: Comparing Safety Toe Shoes

Some jobsites can be inherently dangerous, especially for your toes. Hazards like falling items, tool malfunctions, and vehicle movements can potentially affect your workflow.

KEEN Utility safety toe shoes and boots are designed specifically to keep you safe at work. Check out the video above for a quick overview on soft, aluminum, composite, carbon, and steel safety toe options.

How Do Safety Toes Keep My Feet Safe?

When you’re standing, your feet normally project straight out in front of you. So, naturally, they’re right in the path of anything you might accidentally drop. Similar to how a hard hat protects your head, safety toes protect the front of your feet.

Do All KEEN Utility Safety Toes Protect the Same?

All of our safety toe work shoes and boots share the same rating. Meets ASTM F3445-21 and F2413-18 M I/75 C/75 EH Standards. I/75 C/75 means that the safety toe is rated to an impact resistance of 75 foot pounds and a compressive load resistance of up to 2,500 pounds. All of our safety toes are tested to meet this standard, so they all provide the same level of protection. Read more here about this and other industry-standard safety ratings that our products are designed and tested to meet.
